The Wall Lake City Council has set the dates and times for the public sale of items from the former East Sac County (ESC) Elementary School. According to Clerk, Chris Rodman, they have had a lot of interest from people wanting mementoes or materials from the nearly 100-year-old building. He says the council decided during their meeting last week how the sale would proceed.

The 1923-built structure will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both of those dates. Nearly everything in the interior will be for sale, including doors, wood flooring, light fixtures and much more. Prices vary depending on the item from as little as $10 for maps up to $250 for bookcases. Customers will be required to remove their items the date of the sale. Rodman says they will be accepting several forms of payment.

The sale of the former elementary school was finalized earlier this summer. City officials have been working to acquire the building from the ESC School District since it officially closed at the end of the 2019-20 school year. The community is currently developing plans for what will become of the building once the oldest parts are demolished. A list of some of the items being sold and their prices can be found included below. For questions about specific items, contact Wall Lake City Hall at 712-664-2216.
