A section of 170th Street north of Audubon will be closed until further notice while crews complete a bridge replacement project. The one-mile stretch between Heron Avenue and U.S. Highway 71 was closed at 7:30 a.m. this (Tuesday) morning and will be impassable to thru-traffic. The projected end date for construction is Friday, Dec. 31. Residences will still be accessible on 170th Street from the east, but all other motor vehicle traffic will need to use alternate routes for the duration of the project.
