MidAmerican Power Outage On Saturday Caused By Underground Cable Failure

A spokesman for MidAmerican Energy says the power outage experienced by a portion of Carroll residents Saturday morning was due to a faulty distribution line. Geoff Greenwood says customers lost power beginning at approximately 7:19 a.m. The outage affected 1,486 customers. The power was restored to 944 of these customers at 8:48 a.m. and the remaining 542 regained their power at 9:03 a.m. Greenwood points to an underground cable failure near the substation as the issue.
