Minor Injuries Reported In Separate Motor Vehicle Accidents Earlier This Week In Carroll

The Carroll Police Department has released more information regarding two traffic accident they responded to earlier this week. The first occurred at approximately 1:08 p.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and Court Street. Their investigation determined a 2014 Chrysler 200, driven by 78-year-old Lois Blair of Vail, was traveling westbound on the highway and failed to stop for a red light. The Blair vehicle collided with the passenger side of a northbound 2005 Ford F-150, driven by 32-year-old Manuel Figueroa of Carroll. The Figueroa truck then proceeded to strike a southbound 2014 Ford Edge, driven by 50-year-old Lynette Schlichte of Templeton. No injuries were reported, but the Figueroa and Blair vehicle sustained disabling damages. Blair was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. The second accident occurred at approximately 2:32 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Walnut Street. A Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by 45-year-old James Miller of Breda, was leaving a convenience store parking lot and lost control. He hit the curb and was ejected from the motorcycle. Miller was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of minor injuries. He was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to have insurance.
