A 911 hang-up call on Thursday resulted in the arrest of a man on a Carroll County warrant. The City/County Communications Center received a call that originated from the 1000 block of North Main Street at approximately 4:04 a.m. The caller did not respond, so dispatch terminated the connection and called the number back while also “mapping” it on GPS. A female did answer the phone and stated she was involved in a fight with her boyfriend, but that everything was okay now. Officers responded to check on the situation and found a verbal argument had occurred and there were no charges levied for that situation. However, officers learned the boyfriend, 59-year-old Richard Michale Allison, was wanted on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody and booked into the Carroll County jail and later released on his own recognizance. According to documents filed with the Carroll County District Court, the warrant stems from an incident on Feb. 3 and was issued in March for the first-offense serious misdemeanor charge. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 9.
