The Carroll County Relay for Life will be back this Sunday, Aug. 29, but with a different look and feel. Senior Community Manager with the American Cancer Society (ACS), Suzie Mages, says they are being cautious in consideration of safety for all.
One of these activities is the Cruising for a Cure vehicle parade.
Anything on wheels is welcome. Mages says she has heard there will be a tank in the parade and they are welcoming not just cars and trucks but tractors, motorcycles, bicycles, golf carts, lawn mowers, whatever you want to put in the parade. The more the merrier, Mages says. A map of the parade route is available through the links included below. Following the parade, dinner at Graham Park is available for a free-will donation.
In addition to inviting all survivors and families to have entries in the parade, Mages says they have special gift bags available for them at the parade registration site.
One of the most iconic parts of the Carroll County Relay for Life is the Luminaries that honor survivors and those who have lost their battle with cancer.
The website has all this information along with spots for registration, donations and details on team fundraisers. Postings on the Carroll County Relay Facebook page also share details about events, fundraisers and donation opportunities. Sunday’s Relay is expected to wrap up at Graham Park around 7 p.m.
