IKM-Manning’s season started off with a heartbreaking loss in the final seconds of their game against AHSTW Friday.
The Wolves started off their night with a strong offensive push. Nolan Ramsey threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Eli Dreyer to get IKM-Manning on the board in the first quarter 7-0. AHSTW was able to respond in the second quarter to tie up the contest at 7-7. Amos Rasmussen booted a 40 yard field goal to give the Wolves the 10-7 advantage at halftime. Cooper Irlmeier had a strong night offensively with 23 carries for 96 yards.
In the second half, Trey Jasa found his way to the end zone to give the Wolves the 16-7 advantage going into the fourth quarter. AHSTW came alive in the final quarter of play, going on a 13-0 run, highlighted by a 19 yard touchdown with 19 seconds left, giving AHSTW the win 20-16 in the final seconds of the contest.
Ramsey on the night went seven for 17 for 105 yards passing and a touchdown, while Dreyer and Jasa both recorded touchdowns. Ramsey was also a force on defense, recording five solo tackles and three tackles for loss. Lane Sams aided Ramsey on defense with three solo tackles and two tackles for loss.
IKM-Manning falls to 0-1 as AHSTW starts off their season at 1-0. The Wolves are back in action on Friday night when they welcome Woodbury Central on September 10th.
