Kuemper came out sharp on the road, winning the first two sets and looked to have control of the momentum with a 25-14 win in set 2. They struggled to close the door on the Rams early in set 3 and fell behind by 9. The Knights fought back but came up short in game 3 and Glenwood took advantage of the new life and won the next 2 sets.
Kenzie Schon had a big night, before banging up her hand. She finished with a team high 13 kills. Kuemper was balanced at the net behind Schon with Sophie Badding finishing with 9 kills and Frannie Glynn and Kamryn Venner each had 8 kills while Kaci Peter finished with 6 kills. Ashlyn Badding totaled 43 assists on the night setting up five different girls. Kenya Prescott was busy in the back row and had a team high 35 digs. Kamryn Venner addded 17 digs and Avarie Pedelty finished with 10 digs.
The Knights will look to bounce back on Thursday when they host Red Oak. They sit 4-3 on the season.

Carroll picked up win number four as they won the rematch against Gilbert Tuesday night.
Carroll’s night was filled with close set after close set, starting with a 25-20 win in set one. While Carroll trailed early 2-0, they got on a seven point streak and never trailed after that in set one. Josie Ayala was a force offensively as she grabbed 18 kills and 10 digs. Gilbert and Carroll had a closer second set where Carroll was able to edge out the Tigers of Gilbert 25-22. In the last set, Carroll led 24-17, but Gilbert was able to chip away and get within a point of going to a fourth set. Carroll, once again, had to squeeze past Gilbert to win set three 25-23.
Kaitlyn Tigges continued to bring help to the Tiger offense, recording 33 assists, 11 digs, and an ace. As a team, Carroll recorded 47 digs, 39 kills, and nine blocks. Carroll improves to 4-3 on the season as Gilbert falls to 2-9 on the season. The Tigers have a lengthy break from competition; their next scheduled match is against North Polk on Tuesday, September 7th.

East Sac looked like a team that had 8 matches under their belt this season as they came out sharp in taking a 12-1 lead over the Wolves in the 1st set and a 12-0 lead in set 2. IKM-Manning was playing in their first match of the year and looked nervous to start the match but settled in the middle part of set 2 and played better the rest of the match.
The Raiders controlled the match with their serve, keeping IKM-Manning out of system, before taking advantage of free passes over the net. The Raiders fed Olivia Grote early on the outside, then got Meredith Brown cranking in the middle. Their success started at the service line in set 1, after they gave up a point for being out of rotation the Raiders got Paige Wunschel at the service line and she put them ahead 12-1. She started at the service line in set 2 and the Raiders jumped out 12-0. IKM-Manning had a 4-0 run in set 2, cutting the deficit to 18-8 as Bianca Cadwell got a couple free looks on the outside. East Sac settled in as Brown took over the match at that point and they won set 2 25-10.
IKM-Manning grabbed an early lead in the 3rd set, leading 4-2. The Raiders tied the set at 4 and took the lead for good at 5-4. East Sac pulled away to improve to 4-5 on the season. IKM-Manning opens the season 0-1.
Paige Wunschel finished the match with 8 aces to go with 10 assists. Meredith Brown had a big night, leading the Raiders with 15 kills, and 6 blocks. Mary Bontrager added 13 assists, a team high.
IKM-Manning was paced by Bianca Cadwell with 5 kills and 7 digs. Amber Halbur finished with 7 assists and Eryn Ramsey and Taylor Ferneding each had 6 digs.

Audubon faced tough competition as they faced off against a gritty Ar-We-Va team Tuesday night in a winning effort.
The Wheelers and Rockets had a close first set to start the match off, where Audubon was able to edge out Ar-We-Va 25-19. Audubon had players across the court putting in good performances, including Kylee Hartl with 11 digs and four aces, Addie Hocker with 11 assists, and Aleah Hermansen with 10 kills and three aces. Audubon still had to work for their win in set two, but they escaped with a 25-13 win over the Rockets.
Set three is where Ar-We-Va started to shine as they brought Audubon into extra points and ended up winning 28-26. Jamie Hausman was everywhere in this game, recording four aces, five kills, and 10 digs, while teammates Kora Obrecht and Delaney Schurke combined for 27 assists. Both teams recorded double-digit aces, but Audubon got the slight edge, recording four more than the Rockets, which helped them out late in the contest. In set four, Audubon and Ar-We-Va had another close set, but ultimately it was the Wheelers who won in four sets 25-20.
Audubon improves to 2-0 on the season as Ar-We-Va drops their first game of the season to start off 0-1. Audubon is in action next at the SCC Early Bird Tournament on Saturday, September 4th. Ar-We-Va is also in action on Saturday, where they will travel to the Ridge View Classic Tournament.
