Kuemper and Audubon Girls Cross Country Finish Next to Each Other in Team Standings; IKM-Manning Grab Two Top 25 Finishes Thursday

Kuemper and Audubon saw each other finish close to each other in the team standings at the West Central Valley meet Thursday. 

Kuemper finished the day with three runners in the top 25 and three others inside the top 40. Julia Kanne ran the best time among area runners, finishing in second place with a time of 22:05. Siena Argarin grabbed a 14th place finish with a time of 24:49. Grace C Hoffman was able to finish the course inside the top 25 with a final time of 25:39. Just outside the top 25, Kyra Wolterman nabbed a 26th place finish with a final time of 26:22. Julia Craig and Callie Ferneding finished in 36th and 38th respectively, and gave the Knights the edge over Audubon in the team standings. 

Audubon finished the course with three top 10 finishes on the day. Crace Slater and Sefi Beisswenger both finished inside the top five, third and fourth place respectively. Slater finished with a time of 22:50 and Beisswenger finished with a time of 23:04. Hannah Thygesen gave the Wheelers a top 10 finish, completing the course in eighth place with a time of 23:28.

Despite Audubon claiming more top 10 finishes than Kuemper, the Knights top six finished in better positions than the Wheelers, giving Kuemper the third place finish as a team with 96 points and Audubon the fourth place finish with 105 points.

IKM-Manning grabbed a few top 30 individual finishes as they had a good showing at LoMa Thursday. 

Emily Albertsen led her team with a top 10 finish, finishing 10th with a final time of 20:36.90. Julianna Stribe finished just outside of the top 25, finishing 26th with a final time of 22:11.37. Reagan Garrison wasn’t too far behind Stribe, finishing in 30th with a final time of 22:39.61. Kaitlyn Spoelstra and Maddie Snyder both finished with times in the low 23:00.00 and finished in the top 50 at the meet. IKM-Manning as a team took sixth place with 127 points. LoMa won the meet with a team point total of 38.
