Whiterock Conservancy Executive Director, Niki Reynolds, is hitting the ground running in her first month at the helm of the non-profit land trust. Reynolds is replacing Chris Freland, who resigned earlier this year to accept a position in international agriculture. Reynolds previously served on Whiterock’s board of directors and says she is excited to have an even more hands-on role leading the organization she has spent so much time supporting.
Reynolds is an Iowa State University (ISU) graduate with a degree in marketing and business and a passion for the outdoors. She says her love for Whiterock Conservancy combined with her education and professional background makes her uniquely suited for this position.
Whiterock Conservancy is a 5,500-acre land trust that was created to improve conservation, highlight sustainable land management practices and provided recreational opportunities. Reynolds officially began as executive director on Aug. 9 and got to work right away implementing her vision for the non-profit.
With renewed interest in the outdoors due to the pandemic, she says Whiterock’s future appears bright.
Reynolds and her husband, Andy Leighton, reside in Madrid and enjoy spending time together outdoors with their dogs and horses. You can visit www.whiterockconservancy.org to learn more about the organization and take advantage of the many recreational and educational opportunities they offer.
