Whiterock Conservancy Executive Director, Niki Reynolds, is hitting the ground running in her first month at the helm of the non-profit land trust. Reynolds is replacing Chris Freland, who resigned earlier this year to accept a position in international agriculture. Reynolds previously served on Whiterock’s board of directors and says she is excited to have an even more hands-on role leading the organization she has spent so much time supporting.

Reynolds is an Iowa State University (ISU) graduate with a degree in marketing and business and a passion for the outdoors. She says her love for Whiterock Conservancy combined with her education and professional background makes her uniquely suited for this position.

Whiterock Conservancy is a 5,500-acre land trust that was created to improve conservation, highlight sustainable land management practices and provided recreational opportunities. Reynolds officially began as executive director on Aug. 9 and got to work right away implementing her vision for the non-profit.

With renewed interest in the outdoors due to the pandemic, she says Whiterock’s future appears bright.
