Carroll PD Responds To Two Accidents, One With Minor Injuries, Over The Weekend

The Carroll Police Department responded to two accidents over the weekend, one with minor injuries. The first accident report was received at approximately 1:38 p.m. Friday in the 2000 block of Kittyhawk Avenue. Sixty-eight-year-old Marylou Schneller of Denison was northbound on Kittyhawk in a 2004 Ford Explorer. Seventy-four-year-old Michael Rickert of Ida Grove was exiting the Walmart parking lot and heading east in a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox when he broadsided the Schneller vehicle. Both vehicles were disabled and minor injuries reported by Rickert. Rickert was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign. The second accident occurred at approximately 6:07 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Highways 30 and 71. Thirty-one-year-old Morgan Stipe of Carroll was southbound on 71 in a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. A 16-year-old female from Carroll was also driving southbound and was in a 2004 Jeep Cherokee. The teen attempted to change lanes and struck the Stipe vehicle, causing functional damage to both. The juvenile female was cited for an improper lane change.
