The Carroll Public Library is introducing a pilot program geared towards neurodivergent children and their families. The Embrace Neurodiversity support group will meet for the first time on Monday, Sept. 27 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Carroll Public Library. Activities specifically designed to appeal to children diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, dyslexia or other similar conditions will be offered while parents and caregivers learn about the latest care techniques and resources available to them. Plans at this time are for the group to meet on a regular, ongoing basis with different topics and speakers every month. Individuals wanting to learn more about the program can contact the library at 712-792-3432.
