Natural Gas Prices Go Down For The First Time In Months

For the first time in months, natural gas prices declined. According to the details released by the Henry Hub reporting site, the average price of natural gas in Iowa dropped 58 cents over the past week to $4.83 per MMBtu. Motor fuel prices across the state remained relatively stable. According to AAA Iowa, as of Wednesday the price of regular unleaded remained at an average of $3 per gallon, $.90 higher than one year ago, while the national average rose a penny to $3.19. Retail diesel prices in Iowa rose by $.02 to $3.13 per gallon. This is $.18 less than the national average and $.93 higher than this time last year. Wholesale ethanol remained steady at $2.21 per gallon.
