Phyllis Jean Venteicher of Glidden

Phyllis Jean Venteicher, age 77, of Glidden, IA, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden with Fr. Patrick Behm officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden.

Born on March 22, 1944, in Vancouver, WA, she was the daughter of Marvin and Lila (Heckel) Williams. She grew up in Corning, IA, where she attended school. She was married to Donald Venteicher on April 22, 1962, at Funston Chapel in Manhattan, KS. Phyllis moved back to Corning to live with her mother until Don was finished with his military service. Don and Phyllis moved to Carroll in1963 where she worked at General Electric for 22 years. They moved to Glidden in 1966. Phyllis enjoyed crocheting, planting flower gardens, her cat Boots, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Glidden.
Phyllis is survived by two daughters: Delilah Venteicher of Carroll and Ann Marie Corson and her husband Richard of Coon Rapids; four sons: Donald Venteicher Jr. of Glidden, Ricky Venteicher of Glidden, Timothy Venteicher of Carroll, and Kevin Venteicher and his wife Deborah of Carroll; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a sister Patricia Williams and her husband Bob of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers-in-law: Gerald Venteicher and his wife Eunice of Scranton and Elmer Venteicher and his wife Linda of Carroll; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald in 2015, and four brothers: Terry, Fred, and Larry, and Billy in infancy.
