The Sac City Chamber Main Street and Iowa Pork Producers are excited to announce their annual Porktoberfest celebration is making a full return to normal. Porktoberfest 2021 is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at the Chautauqua Building on Thursday, Oct. 7. According to Chamber/Main Street Executive Director, Jessica Pierce, they are anticipating large crowds this year with the 2020 event being drive-through only.
Attendees will receive a meal that includes a pork burger, chips and a drink while supplies last. The food is offered for free to everyone thanks to support from the Chamber Main Street and Iowa Pork Producers to recognize Sac County’s deep ties to the pork industry. It takes a lot of hands to put on a successful event, and Pierce says they are still searching for people willing to volunteer on Thursday.

The fire department’s demonstration is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Again, Porktoberfest 2021 begins at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Chautauqua Building in Sac City.
