A Carroll woman charged with multiple felonies following an altercation involving firearms at the Fairview Apartments a year ago was sentenced Monday in Carroll County District Court. According to court records, 31-year-old Kamille Elise Garnett initially faced one count of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class C felony, going armed with intent and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver with a firearm, class D felonies, and assault while using or displaying a dangerous weapon, child endangerment and possession of alprazolam with intent to deliver with a firearm, aggravated misdemeanors, for her involvement in an Oct. 5, 2020 incident at the Fairview Apartments in Carroll. Garnett pled guilty to misdemeanor charges as part of an agreement reached with prosecutors, and her request for a deferred judgement was granted, meaning court records regarding the case will be expunged upon successful completion of probation and associated fines, surcharges and court costs are paid in full. Garnett was placed on probation for one year to the Department of Correctional Services with the felony counts and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and child endangerment from a separate incident dismissed after sentencing. Additionally, a court order filed Tuesday revoked Garnett’s right to possess a firearm on the grounds she is an unlawful drug user or addict.
