Harcourt Man Arrested Tuesday. Additional Charges May Follow Results From Lab Testing On Items Seized

A Harcourt man was arrested after Carroll officials received a report of a suspicious vehicle. The call came in at approximately 5:33 p.m. Tuesday from the 3800 block of Xavier Avenue. Responding Carroll officers located the vehicle and the suspect, 33-year-old Jacob Isaac Miller, Jr., in the 1700 block of N. Highway 71. Miller was charged with driving without a license, failure to have insurance and operating a non-registered vehicle. Additional charges are pending lab results from items suspected to be methamphetamine that were seized and submitted to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI) laboratory. If the test results are positive, Miller could face the added charges of operating while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance. Miller was booked into the Carroll County jail and later released on his own recognizance.
