The Carroll Kiwanis Club is bringing back their extremely popular pancake feed this coming Friday, Oct. 8. Eighteen-year Kiwanis member and an organizer for this year’s event, Jason Schwarte, says they will be serving up piping hot pancakes and sausage for a half day at the Graham Park Shelter House.
The Kiwanis also want to make the pancake feed available to everyone with that drive-through option.
The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Schwarte says the money raised is used to support many local organizations, mainly those serving a particular demographic.
He adds the scholarships are being made available to students at Carroll and Kuemper High Schools as well as Glidden-Ralston. In addition to the donation to the Miracle Field for the purchase of a scoreboard, they have also provided assistance to the SAFE and Head Start programs, purchased back to school supplies for needy kids, provided Thanksgiving turkeys to New Opportunities and supported Kellan’s Kingdom—Carroll’s all-inclusive playground. Again, the Kiwanis Club will be serving pancakes and sausage with your choice of coffee, milk or orange juice from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 8 at the Graham Park Shelter House.
