Wall Lake city officials have announced residents will experience a brief electrical outage Sunday morning while crews replace aging equipment in the town’s substation. The planned outage on Oct. 10 is expected to last from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. This work is in response to an unexpected outage on Sept. 28 that left nearly 3,000 people in Ida and Sac Counties without power for nearly 10 hours due to an arrester failure. According to City Clerk, Chris Rodman, the likelihood of an outage like the one last week should be much lower after the work is completed. Anyone with questions can contact Wall Lake City Hall at 712-664-2216.
