There are four individuals vying for two open seats on the Carroll Community School District Board of Education in the upcoming Nov. 2 election. Two of these are incumbents—Duane Horsely and Jen Munson. Two are newcomers—Kristen Lundstrom and Sani Saidou Salissou. These four individuals will be explaining their platforms to the general public at an upcoming Carroll Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Area Development Corporation (CADC) candidate forum. In preparation for the Wednesday, Oct. 27 forum, the legislative committee will be putting together questions for the four candidates, and the public is invited to ask their questions as well. These can be submitted prior to the forum by emailing them to chamber@carrolliowa.com or by stopping by the Chamber office in the Depot Plaza. The candidate forum will get underway promptly at 6:30 p.m. in the Gene Vincent Auditorium at the Carroll High School. The public is encouraged to attend. The event will also be aired live on KCIM and livestreamed on the station’s Facebook page.
