Monday’s Carroll Supervisor Meeting Opens With Closed Session And Includes COVID Testing Update

The Carroll County Board of Supervisor meeting on Monday will open with a closed session. There are three different Iowa Codes identified for the board to immediately enter into the closed session when they convene at 9 a.m. All three are from 21.5 with the first being subsection (c), “To discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent […].” The other two relate to law enforcement matters in subsections (g) and (h): “To avoid disclosure of specific law enforcement matters, such as current or proposed investigations or inspections or auditing techniques or schedules, which if disclosed would enable law violators to avoid detection;” and, “To avoid disclosure of specific law enforcement matters, such as allowable tolerances or criteria for selection, prosecution or settlement of cases, which if disclosed would facilitate disregard of requirements imposed by law.” Once coming out of closed session the board will receive a COVID testing update from Dr. Kyle Ulveling, discuss the proposal for the county health services assessment and hear a department and construction update from the Secondary Roads department. Other business items on the agenda include approval of payables and a housing grant program claim as well as manure management annual updates. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the lower-level meeting room at the Carroll County Courthouse. It will also be livestreamed on the county’s YouTube channel, a link to which is included below.
