The Greene County Sheriff’s Office was called to two accidents over the weekend, the first being a car/deer accident on Friday evening. They responded to the scene on 140th Street, just to the west of Churdan at approximately 7:24 p.m. Forty-seven-year-old Paige Lansman of Churdan struck the deer with a 2012 GMC Acadia, causing an estimated $7,000 in damages. No injuries were reported. There were also no injuries reported in a single-vehicle accident Saturday morning on 200th Street at Glenwood Avenue, northeast of Scranton, at approximately 9:15 a.m. A juvenile driver lost control of the 2013 Ford Escape they were driving and entered the ditch. There was an estimated $9,000 in damage and the juvenile was cited for failure to maintain control.
