All Railroad Crossings In Carroll Blocked Due To Stopped Train

Motorists will need to find alternate routes when traveling in Carroll due a train blocking all crossings in city limits. According to Police Chief, Brad Burke, the Carroll City/County Communications Center was contacted by Union Pacific Railroad Tuesday evening to notify law enforcement of the issue. Crews are currently working to correct the unidentified issue, but the company has indicated it could be close to midnight before the problem is fixed and the train can begin moving again. Motorists will need to use the Highway 71 viaduct on the west side of Carroll if attempting to move between the north and south sides of town.
