For five years, a regional business with a local presence has been hosting a special Ladies Night, with proceeds being distributed to the cancer centers and hospitals in the communities they serve. In the first year Bomgaars initiated the special evening where 5 percent of total sales are donated, they were able to give more than $18,000 to 21 participating locations. By last year, this had grown to over $65,000 in donations to 94 different locations. The Carroll Bomgaars Ladies Night is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. St. Anthony Regional Cancer Center will be the recipient, meaning in December of this year they will receive a check based on the total sales during the event. “As Manager of your local Bomgaars Store, I am inviting you to come out to Bomgaars Ladies Night this Sunday night, Oct. 24,” says Mark Nepple. “We look forward to Ladies Night every year! It is the start of Holiday shopping here at Bomgaars and what better way to celebrate than by giving the ladies a 20 percent discount?” The evening is made special with that 20 percent discount as well as giveaways. “Each year our staff attend the Bomgaars Ladies night to greet shoppers and distribute information,” says St. Anthony Cancer Center Director, Lori Pietig. “I want to personally invite everyone to join me in this fun event which will benefit the people of west central Iowa for years to come.”
