Boys Cross Country Results for Friday, October 29th
Kuemper at Fort Dodge at Class 3A State Cross Country Meet
The Kuemper Knights had two runners compete Friday at the state cross country meet in Fort Dodge, both running well against the top runners in Class 3A.
Michael Pottebaum wrapped up his senior season with a strong showing, grabbing 21st place with a final time of 16:57.06. Pottebaum says this meet was unlike any meet he competed in throughout the season, and while he would have liked to finish higher, he was happy to compete at state cross country. Jacob Greving was the other runner who represented Kuemper as he finished in 70th with a final time of 17:45.90. Greving says it was a little intimidating to run with so many runners, but he’s excited to keep working on his times. Head Coach Mark Kloser says he’s proud of his two runners getting to the state cross country meet and for his team for continuing to push themselves all season long. An audio interview with Pottebaum and Greving can be found in this post below.
