Disabling damage to one vehicle, but no injuries, were reported in a two-vehicle accident Thursday. The Carroll Police Department responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and Grant Road at approximately 7:50 p.m. Twenty-two-year-old Colby Schumann of Belmond was westbound on 30 in a 2008 Lincoln Mark LT. Sixty-year-old Denise Gehling of Carroll was northbound on Grant Road in a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, but failed to stop for a red light. She struck and caused the disabling damage to the Schumann vehicle. Gehling was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
