A driver involved in a single-vehicle accident on Ivy Avenue near Breda was cited after authorities found an unoccupied, running vehicle in the ditch. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene at approximately 2:09 a.m. Saturday morning. Upon arrival, they found the vehicle ignition on, but the driver, 23-year-old Colton Dale Lesle of Auburn, was not with the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado in the west ditch. Authorities report it appears the truck was northbound on Ivy Avenue and drifted into the west ditch before hitting a field drive. The truck then went airborne and rolled multiple times before coming to rest on the wheels. The Chevrolet was severely damaged, estimated at $45,000, and Lesle was cited for failure to maintain control.
