Agatha “Aggie” Grossman of Carroll

Agatha “Aggie” Grossman, age 70, of Glidden, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Glidden.  The celebrant will be Fr. Merlin Schrad.  Music will be by Mary Ross and the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Choir.  Lectors will be Maddie Bauer and Megan Bauer.  Gift Bearers will be Hannah Anders, Ava Augustus, Caden Andersen, and Evan Augustus.  Eucharistic Ministers will be Jim and Donna Grossman.  Casket Bearers will be Jodi Venteicher, Carolyn Sander, Charlie Kirsch, John Bauer, Jessica Grossman, and David Drees.  Honorary Casket Bearer will be Jerry Boes.  Burial will be in the Merle Hay Cemetery in Glidden.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll.  There will be a Rosary prayed at 5 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m.
The casket will be moved to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Glidden on Wednesday morning where visitation will resume from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kuemper Catholic High School or Glidden- Ralston High School.
A daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Janning) Gross, Aggie was born on August 7, 1951 in Carroll, Iowa, and attended St. Francis of Assisi School, and graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School.  She and Dennis Grossman were married on May 20, 1972 at St. Francis of Assisi in Maple River, Iowa.  She was the daycare provider for many Glidden area children which she enjoyed for 25 years.  After daycare, she brought joy to Casey’s customers from the kitchen for 19 years.  She loved puzzle books, tending to her flowers, playing cards, decorating for all holidays, siting outside in the sunshine, enjoying time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Survivors included her husband of nearly 50 years, Denny Grossman of Glidden; their children: Melanie (Mark) Bauer of Templeton, Kimberly Andersen of Carroll, Elizabeth (Randy) Augustus of Carroll, seven grandchildren: Maddie Bauer, Megan Bauer, Ava Augustus, Hannah Anderson, Evan Augustus, Caden Andersen, Chloe Augustus; siblings and siblings-in-law: Vince (Nora) Gross, Ben (Vickie) Gross, Joseph (Diane) Gross, Bernice Drees, Cecilia (Mike) Simpson, Delores (Leroy) Boes, Jolene (Dave) Sander; Norma Gross, Andrew Kirsch; mother-in-law: Lorena Grossman.
Aggie was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings: Walter Gross, Mary Ann Kirsch, Louise (Don) Mikkelsen; in-laws: Carol Gross, and Richard Drees, and father-in-law: Robert Grossman.
