Rose Riesberg, 95 of Carroll, died Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Accura Healthcare of Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 8, 2021, at St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Trevor Chicoine. Music will be by Jane Heithoff. Lectors will be Melissa Riesberg, Kelly Stubbe, and Mike Best. Gift Bearers will be Kim Best, Kayla Marvin, Cassidy Stubbe and Tico Gunderson. Casket Bearers will be Devon Riesberg, Kelly Riesberg, Brad Riesberg, Travis Riesberg, Josh Gunderson, Eric Gunderson, Cody Gunderson, JJ Stubbe, and Nick Stubbe. Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Monday in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with a Christian Wake Service at 5 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Monday at the church.
Memorials may be left at the funeral home or the church for St. John Paul II Parish or Kuemper Catholic Schools Foundation.

Born on August 10, 1926, in Dedham, Iowa, Rose was the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Kennebeck) Bekehermes. She spent her younger years in Dedham and attended St. Joseph’s School. On October 20, 1953, Rose was united in marriage to Tony Riesberg at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dedham. Rose and Tony lived in the Dedham and Mt. Carmel areas where she was a devoted homemaker and cleaned area homes. Rose enjoyed the outdoors; animals, gardening, and tending to her flowers. She liked to read and do needle work. Her family brought her great joy; she always loved hosting them for various family gatherings.
Rose is survived by her daughters: Sandy Riesberg of Des Moines, Jeanette Liddicoat of Phoenix, AZ, Judi (John) Gunderson of Woodward, and Carol (Ken) Stubbe of Glidden; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Venner of Arcadia; her son-in-law, Oscar Grabill of Des Moines; 20 grandchildren; 48 greatgrandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Lillian Ferneding of Carroll; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Tony; her daughter, Mary Grabill; her sons: Larry, Dan, and Mark Riesberg; her sisters, Lucille Soppe and Viola Soppe; and her brother Sylvester Bekehermes
