The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says there were nearly 53,000 resident and non-resident 2021 trout permits purchased in the state as of Oct. 25. Twenty thousand of those have been selected to participate in the DNR’s annual trout angler survey. They are asking those individuals to report their trout fishing preferences and experiences, including where they fish and how often. The responses they receive will help guide them in the decisions that will help provide opportunities for anglers to experience the thrill of trout fishing in Iowa.
