Only Minor Injuries Reported In UTV Rollover Accident Friday Near Panora

Two of three passengers in a UTV were transported for treatment of suspected minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident Friday. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene on Soldier Trail and 245th Avenue, southwest of Panora, at approximately 5:50 p.m. Thirty-seven-year-old Chad Aaron Ratcliff of Panora was northbound on Soldier Trail in a 2016 Honda UTV when he lost control and rolled the vehicle. He was transported to Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines by Guthrie County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries. One passenger was uninjured, but the other, 37-year-old Nathan Wayne Dorsett, also of Panora, was transported by private vehicle to the Guthrie County Hospital. There was an estimated $20,000 in damage to the Honda.
