The Greene County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Jefferson Police Department with an extremely unusual accident reported at approximately 7:46 a.m. Sunday. According to a Jefferson resident, they were driving a 2010 Hyundai Genesis southbound on Highway 4, about two miles north of Jefferson, when the high winds caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and they ended up partially in the west ditch. There were no injuries and no dollar amount of damages could be estimated, but the vehicle did sustain damage to the undercarriage.
