East Sac opened their season on the road, falling in the 2nd half after getting out to an early lead. The Raiders played good defense in the first quarter, turning that into points as they were up by 9 points heading into the 2nd quarter. The offense began to struggle and the Tornadoes began to gain confidence and used the energy from their crowd to rally. The game was tied at half and the Raiders trailed by 8 heading into the 4th quarter. The 2nd quarter turned the game in favor of Storm Lake as the Raiders were outscored 11-2. East Sac scored just 21 points over the final 3 quarters. Storm Lake used a 6-0 run to start the 4th quarter, extending their lead to double digits.

East Sac ran their offense well early, getting good shots, helping them build their early lead. Carly Fischer and Mary Bontrager were the focal point with Fischer scoring 6 points at half and Bontrager adding 5 points. The Raiders were  hot from the three point line and finished 7 of 16 for the game. Storm Lake used the free throw line to chip away, outscoring the Raiders 17-5 from the line for the game.

The Raiders shot 5-14 from the free throw line, Storm Lake hit 17 of 23 from the free throw line. East Sac shot 39.2% from the field for the game. They pulled down 39 rebounds with Meredith Brown leading the way with 17, 24 of those on the defensive end.

Mary Bontrager led the Raiders with 13 points, Carly Fischer and Makenna Steiger each had 6 points. Meredith Brown had 17 rebounds, and team highs with 4 assists and 3 steals. Carly Fischer added 3 assists. Mary Bontrager added 6 rebounds.

The Raiders will be back in action at Woodbury Central on Tuesday, November 30th.
