A Carroll man arrested in October following a physical altercation has been scheduled for trial in February. Carroll County District Court records show 56-year-old Scott Alan Moeller pled not guilty last week to one count of assault with intent to inflict serious injury, an aggravated misdemeanor. Moeller was arrested Oct. 21 by the Carroll Police Department for allegedly pushing the victim and choking them in response to an argument that had occurred earlier in the day. Moeller’s trial is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 15 with a pretrial conference listed on Jan. 13. He faces a maximum penalty of up to two years in prison and $6,250 in fines if found guilty of the charge.
