Sac City Chamber Main Street is planning a special parade for Thursday evening with Santa Claus joining the Sac City Fire Department for a jaunt around town. The parade is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. at the fire station, heading east on Main Street before turning south along Fairing Avenue to Ahrens Street. The route continues west to 5th Street, north to Duffy Street then back south on 9th Street to Gishwiller Street. They will travel all the way up 16th Street with a quick stop in the East Sac County Elementary School parking lot. The route ends by returning to the fire station via Ingersoll Street, 12th Street and Main Street. Following the parade, Santa will be available at Rosie’s Coffee Shop to meet with children until 7 p.m. A copy of the parade route can be found included with this story on our website.
