Functional damage was reported in a two-vehicle accident Thursday in Carroll. The Carroll Police Department responded to the scene in the 100 block of west U.S. Highway 30 at approximately 2:21 p.m. Thirty-two-year-old Kimberly Hofbauer of Coon Rapids was westbound on 30 in the outside lane, driving a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. Sixty-one-year-old Judith Zimmer of Kiron was also westbound, but in the inside lane, driving a 2015 Ford Escape. Zimmer attempted to change lanes and struck the Hofbauer vehicle. Zimmer was cited for an improper lane change.
