On Nov. 15, the Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education voted unanimously to remove the school’s logo that was printed on a speaker cover atop the video scoreboard at the stadium. CCSD board members say the inclusion of the one school’s logo on the field that is also rented by the Kuemper Catholic School System has created some ill feelings within the community, which came together on a bond referendum vote for the stadium’s construction. Kuemper President, John Steffes, says he was surprised when the board made this decision.

Steffes says the pandemic has really emphasized what the K-12 schools do for our society and our communities. Their goal is to continue fostering that strong collaborative spirit as they strive to provide the best educational experience possible for area students.
