Customers of the West Central Iowa Rural Water Association in northern Carroll County experienced service disruptions this (Saturday) morning following an overnight water main break. According to the association, residents of Mt. Carmel, Lidderdale, Breda and Auburn noted little to no water pressure during the interruption. Rural customers in an approximately 10 miles radius of Mt. Carmel experienced similar issues. Crews located and repaired the break around 8:30 a.m., and a boil order has been issued for customers in an area that stretches from Mt. Carmel to Lidderdale and then south and east of the Carroll Country Club. The advisory will be in effect until further notice pending the return of clear water samples.
