Iowa’s 12th District House Representative, Brian Best, has announced his plans to run for a fifth term in 2022, but it will be in a new district. Best will be running for House District 11, which now includes all of Carroll and Audubon Counties along with southeastern Shelby and a portion of northern Pottawattamie County. Throughout 2022, Best will continue to represent constituents in the current District 12, which includes all of Carroll and parts of Crawford and Audubon Counties. “I’ve really enjoyed my time in the Iowa Legislature,” Best says. “I represent an area that I really love and am passionate about delivering on their priorities.” Speaker of the Iowa House, Pat Grassley, says Best works hard for his district. “Brian Best represents his district very well. He works hard to give his constituents the representation they deserve by constantly seeking their feedback and input,” Grassley says. “That’s the kind of legislator Iowans want representing them in their Statehouse and I’m confident they’ll send Brian Best back to the Iowa House in 2022.” Best is a retired respiratory care practitioner and currently owns a sleep testing facility in Carroll. He and his wife, Sharon, live in Glidden and have four grown children. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more from Best in upcoming newscasts.
