Delane Caroline (Heuton) Cleveland, age 77, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids, IA.
Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church in Carroll with Rev. Cindy Johnson officiating assisted by Chaplain Peg Scheidt. Music for the service will be by Jan Potthoff. Casket bearers will be her six grandsons: Chance, Eli, Garrett, Kalon, Kyelar, and Jax. A private graveside service will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Lidderdale.
Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 5 – 7 P.M. on Tuesday evening. The casket will be moved to St. John Lutheran Church at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday where visitation will resume until 10:45 A.M.

Delane was born on November 15, 1944 in Carroll, IA, and she was the daughter of Gilbert and Helen (Jacobs) Heuton. She grew up on her family’s farm near Lidderdale and graduated from Carroll High School in 1962. Delane attended LaJames School of Hairstyling in Des Moines. She was married to Ron Cleveland Sr. in Barstow, CA in 1966. They made their home in Quantico, VA until moving back to Carroll in 1970. Delane worked for many years at Farmland in Carroll, St. Anthony Nursing Home as a CNA and in Adult Daycare. She also worked at New Hope Village in several group homes. Delane loved her six grandsons and was very proud while attending all their activities. She enjoyed going to coffee with her friends and visiting on the telephone.
Delane is survived by her son Ron Cleveland Jr. (Kim) of Westside; six grandsons: Chance Cleveland (Breely), Eli Cleveland, Garrett Cleveland, Kalon Cleveland, Kyelar Cleveland, and Jax Cleveland; a brother Darrell Heuton (Mary) of Carroll; a sister-in-law Nyla Heuton of Carroll; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
Delane was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Helen Heuton and her brother Dean Heuton.
