The Carroll County Landfill And Recycling Center Offers Tips For Blustery Days…Like Today

With up to 70 mile per hour winds predicted for later this evening, the Carroll Landfill and Recycling Center is reminding residents to take care of containers today and throughout the winter season. This time of year it is not unusual to have strong winds that will blow leaves, snow and even items that are not anchored down. They are reminding residents that if your garbage and/or recycling collection is scheduled for a day like today, please consider keeping your items inside for another week or remove the bins from the curb before the winds pick up and carry them away. If your recycling bin is full, please take it to your nearest recycling center or a drop off location. Carroll County Recycling trailer locations can be found on the website at www.carrollcountylandfill.com under the recycling icon. Carroll County Solid Waste wishes everyone in all of the communities they serve a safe winter season and they thank you for doing your part to keep containers safely tucked away. “We appreciate your efforts to work together…protecting yourselves and others from blowing garbage and recycling.”
