It was a tough night at home for Ar-We-Va against Westwood, who improved to 7-1 overall. The Rebels never trailed, holding the Rockets to 5 points in the 1st quarter and scoreless in the 3rd quarter. Jamie Hausman hit the first bucket for Ar-We-Va as they trailed 6-2 early. Maggie Ragaller knocked down a 3 on a nice inbound play from the side but Ar-We-Va trailed 23-5 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Rebels full court press created some turnovers but it forced Ar-We-Va to play faster than they wanted to. The Rockets hurried shots on the offensive end which led to quick trips and more possessions for Westwood. The Rebels led 43-8 at the half.

Ar-We-Va played with more energy in the 2nd half and ran their offense better but couldn’t get shots to fall in the 3rd. They hustled hard all game with Maggie Ragaller, Jamie Hausman, Delaney Schurke and Timberlen Koch all running down players from behind on fast-breaks for the Rebels in the 2nd half. Delaney Schurke was able to get some offense going in the 4th quarter scoring all 4 of the Rockets points.

Delaney Schurke led Ar-We-Va with 4 points. Maggie Ragaller added 3 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Samantha Hinners had 3 rebounds off the bench.
