A Des Moines man found himself facing charges from Greene County law enforcement twice in one day. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports 25-year-old Carlos Carmelo Sierra Rojas was booked into the jail on an arrest warrant for second-offense operating while under the influence at approximately 6:03 p.m. Monday. Later that evening, as he was being released from Greene County jail, a deputy was called in to assist with Sierra Rojas, who had become combative and assaulted a deputy. He was later charged with assault on a person in a certain occupation and rebooked into the jail.
