The Audubon Firefighters Association is inviting residents to join them at the Audubon County Fairgrounds on Friday to close out the year with them at their third annual New Year’s Eve steak dinner fundraiser. Firefighters, their family and friends and department supporters will be gathering in the Agri-Hall beginning at 5 p.m. Dec. 31. Dinner will be served until 9 p.m. with live entertainment, a silent auction, raffle drawings, a cash bar and more planned through 1 a.m. Tickets are $30 if purchased at the door, but presales are available for $25 per individual or $45 per couple. These are available from any Audubon Fire Department member or by emailing audubonfra@gmail.com. Drive-thru service will be offered from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and can be arranged by calling 712-563-4467 that night. All proceeds from the event will go to help finance the construction of a new fire station for the department.
