A Denison teen’s donation of several hundred containers of Play-Doh to St. Anthony Regional Hospital aims to keep children entertained while receiving care. Just two days before Christmas, 14-year-old Taryn Oxendale presented the over 60-pound container of more than 250 tubs of the iconic modeling clay to hospital staff as part of a confirmation service project with her church. Each 4 oz. tub is decorated with a hand-drawn picture of a cross and the word “Prayers.” These containers will be distributed to children in the Emergency Department, during regular checkups at the St. Anthony Clinic, while receiving therapy in the Rehabilitation Department or if they require an overnight stay at the hospital.
