Employee Vaccine/Testing Requirement Policy On Agenda For CCSD Board Of Education’s Jan. 3 Meeting

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education has released the agenda for their first work session of 2022. In December, school officials announced they would be trying something new by holding two meetings per month with work sessions on the first Monday of the month and then a regular meeting on the third Monday. The Jan. 3 agenda includes discussions on learning pathways and academic requirements, the district’s Teacher Leadership and Compensation (TLC) plan and staffing strategies for the 2022/23 school year. The board does have one action item scheduled regarding the adoption of a board policy outlining how they will oversee and implement employee vaccination and testing requirements. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) rule remains tangled in legal challenges. It had been put on a hold by the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, but that injunction was overturned earlier this month. The Monday, Jan. 3 meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Adams Elementary School boardroom. The public is encouraged and invited to attend. The full agenda can be found included with this story on our website.
