District 4 Supervisor, Stephanie Hausman, has been selected to chair the Carroll County Board of Supervisors for the 2022 calendar year. The board opened this morning’s (Monday) meeting by appointing Supervisor, Gene Meiners, to serve as the temporary chairman. Prior to opening nominations, Meiners thanked county residents and his fellow supervisors for their support throughout 2021.
Rich Ruggles nominated District 4 Supervisor, Stephanie Hausman, to become chairwoman. Hausman served as the board’s vice-chair in 2021. Her appointment was approved unanimously.
Hausman then nominated Ruggles to serve as vice-chair, and his appointment was approved unanimously. As part of their annual organizational meeting, the supervisors must name the official county newspapers. Ruggles and Auditor, Kourtney Payer, explain this is something they are required by law to do.
Those papers are: The Carroll Times Herald, the Coon Rapids Enterprise and the Manning Monitor. The supervisors closed Monday’s meeting with more than a dozen appointments to the county’s boards and commissions for 2022. The full list of those individuals can be found included below.
