The St. Anthony Regional Cancer Center received a more than $3,000 donation from the Carroll Bomgaars store this week that comes from the money raised during the retailer’s annual Ladies Night held last fall. Manager, Mark Nepple, presented the $3,151 check to St. Anthony President and CEO, Ed Smith, and Cancer Center Director, Lori Pietig, at their facility on Wednesday. Pietig says, “This donation will benefit the people we serve who face the challenges of cancer in our community, and we are thankful to our local Bomgaars for hosting this event. The St. Anthony Regional Cancer Center appreciates each person that participated in Ladies Night to raise funds. Every dollar truly counts.” Nepple says, “Ladies Night is one of my favorite events because the proceeds directly impact the communities and people we serve in Carroll and the surrounding communities.” Each year, participating Bomgaars locations contribute five percent of their proceeds from sales during Ladies Night, raising a combined $104,581 during the 2021 events.
