The 2022 Legislative Forums hosted by the Carroll Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Area Development Corporation (CADC) are scheduled to begin this coming weekend. These forums are held to give constituents the opportunity to speak directly with their elected representatives in Des Moines. District 6 Senator, Craig Williams, and District 12 Representative, Brian Best, will both be in attendance for the Saturday, Jan. 22 event at New Hope in Carroll. They will provide brief opening comments, followed by questions from the Chamber’s Legislative Committee with questions from the public at the end. Economic Vitality Director, Matt Meiners, says, “This is one of the most important services the CADC and Chamber provides to their communities throughout Carroll County. It is a chance to connect the voter with their representatives and gives them a voice to what is happening at the state capitol.” Saturday’s forum begins at 10 a.m. and masks will be required for attendees. The other forum dates are: Feb. 19 at Des Moines Area Community College’s Carroll Campus, March 19 at the Breda American Legion and April 9 at the Glidden Public Library. For more information or to submit questions for consideration, contact the Chamber office at 712-792-4383.
